There are many different ways of mold making, as well as many different molding and casting materials. In this introductory workshop students will be introduced to the concepts of 1 and 2-part molds, different methods of casting and mold making. They will have an opportunity to make their own mold and make a cast.Â
This field involves working with and mixing a variety of materials, therefore safety measurements and guidelines will be emphasized and diligently pursued to ensure that students grow into working safely.Â
After being acquainted with various types of molds, molding materials and molding strategies, by the end of this workshop students should be confident to continue making their own molds and casts in healthy environment.Â
